Well about 2 wks ago my friend Jennifer talked me into trying her gym out. I contemplated it for a few mins then decided "sure why not". I am a girl who is into trying something new. So I got up that next morning thinking "I can do this". So I went. First we did Abs and OMGoodness it was hard but awesome worked up one heck of a sweat. Then we did Celebrity WORKOUT. Awesome beats and it really made me want to move. Afterwards I did SPIN for the first time. OMGoodness the seat hurt my back side really bad. But I stayed with it. After Spin I decided that it was not for me right now, but I am proud of myself for trying it out. The bad part is that I couldn't sit down comfortably for a week. So i decided that i would instead walk a mile on the treadmill now while everyone does the spin class. I walk 1 mile a day.
So last week on Thursday I decided to continue and be a member at Elite Fitness. I am a person that likes to make new friends and I felt so comfortable there at the gym. I did my first weight lifting class "BODYPUMP" and boy I over did it, I really have to learn good form. But I know that in time I will get better and be able to do what every one else is able to do. On friday i woke up and boy was I ever sore. I could barely move my left arm with out my neck killing me. But after Lauren worked me out in AB Blast and Celebrity I felt great.
This week I started back at Curves 3 days a week for 30 mins a day(circuit training) and Elite Fitness 2 days a week weight lifting and Abs and aerobics. I walk 1.25 miles a day. I did Bodypump Thursday and didn't over do it but boy did I feel it when I got up on Friday. But of course Abs Blast and Celebrity worked out all of the kinks. I didn't do the 30 mins on the treadmill but I think that it was ok because I was on my feet walking all around Sports Spectrum Volunteering for the NWLA Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure". My friend Cyndi and I put together race packets, register, handed out tshirts and helped pack up. SO I think that will all of my running around I got my mile in.
Today I got up at 4am and got ready for the "Race for the Cure". I got there and did my usual Volunteering as I do every year, and then my work team and I all walked the 1 mile walk. Next year I hope to be conditioned to do the 5K run.
